I think I speak for the vast majority of Americans when I say that Id rather drive. I dont care how convenient a train may be because I prefer independence even if its more time consuming or expensive. In my car Ive got my AC just how I like it, my music, my snacks, all the stuff I may want/need where Im going, but most importantly- no other people that Im locked into a confined space with for the duration of a trip.
