Islands are incredibly cheap to buy. You can buy a whole ass island for $1-2mil. Epstein's was around 1mil. Reason being it takes a ton of logistics to make inhibiting it possible, so no one really buys an island not even the rich. They have to make the price attractive. A group of people could easily buy an island and possibly cover the logistics to make it livable if they had jobs. It would only be a small mortgage to buy, but building is a challenge because you have to get builders out there. I'm not sure if the US Virgin Islands have building codes but they probably do. They're subject to US federal law still, so all those 16 year olds the elites banged it was totally legal.
We did that for a period of time but it wasnt worth it. Over a decade of occupation and the locals couldnt get their shit together.

US Virgin Islands probably wouldn't be the best idea due to being under US governance, but there are probably lots of Caribbean nations that would sell you an island. Remote uninhibited islands can go for cheap, no one is using them. But again good luck with logistics.
