Can you elaborate? The talk about invasion was up in the air for months, and the British providing the direct warning some 3 weeks in advance. The Soviet command more or less disregarded the warnings until SHTF, because they were confident in their army for some ideological reasons and thought these media happenings to be the Anglo propaganda until the last minute.

We weren't allies and this wasn't sudden. Ever since November 1940 Molotov's travel to Germany didn't end up in USSR becoming part of the Tripartite Pact, German command gave up on the idea and Barbarossa was signed a month later, in December 1940. Ever since then it was almost an inevitability. And the Soviets were aware of the plan's existence (not the details), they just believed they could still resolve things diplomatically. So did the diplomatic branch of the Reich, ironically enough.
