1. Create a massive new market for pharmaceuticals. This is especially important as demographics change, and populations stagnate.
2. Legalize sex with children.
While identity politics existed before OWS, it was something fringe with little impact. The financial sector and friends shit themselves over OWS so they wanted a way to split the country into a bunch of endlessly fighting factions. That's when the media started running endless stories about oppression, diversity, and identity. It's also when money started flooding into advocacy groups for these fringe groups.
It worked. Leftists who used to be anti-corporate and anti-globalist now can't get enough globalist cock into their holes and will defend any company that puts a rainbow on their logo. The "right" has to play endless defense on social issues to keep from things like their children molested by trannies and programmed at school to hate normalcy happen. So they can't keep anything else in check without sacrificing that which there used to be no reason to defend as it wasn't under attack.
