To learn 95% about Islam, it is enough to read just one book—the Quran. The entire Quran is the direct speech of Allah, conveyed to Muhammad through the angel Gabriel. The remaining 5% can be obtained from the traditions about the life of Muhammad and his companions. Reading the Quran in Arabic sounds like a beautiful melody to the ear, which is why some of Muhammad’s contemporaries accused him of witchcraft. If you are an English-speaking person and want to learn about Islam, I would recommend reading the Quran in the translation by William Pickthall. He approached his work responsibly and translated it literally for you. His translation is also approved by one of the most authoritative Islamic institutions in the world, Al-Azhar in Egypt.
I am creating this thread after coming across another thread by an Italian with five accusations against Islam. He claimed that Muslims deny the immaculate conception of Jesus, the miracles he performed, his crucifixion, the divinity of Jesus, and the Trinity. I was surprised that this thread received several hundred responses, while the person, out of ignorance, slandered Islam. Jesus is mentioned by name 25 times in the Quran, his mother is mentioned in the Quran, and so are his apostles. Allah in the Quran speaks about the immaculate conception of Mary and the miracles Jesus performed by the will of God, including the fact that he raised the dead. Allah in the Quran even provides parables about whom he resurrected and how. Regarding the crucifixion of Jesus, Allah in the Quran says that He raised Jesus alive to the heavens and it only seemed to them that they killed him, meaning Allah created an illusion of the crucifixion for them.
