Used to be a bit different, where you could spot Russian part, but since about 2008, the main "conservative" party did a MASSIVE push into the two regions that were prior Austrian (and are predominately rural), similar to Republican switch in Southern US. So from 2010's elections onward, it's quite stable map of how the voting goes.
What I hate about the thing isn't even historical geography. It's that on paper, Poland is a multi-party system, except for 24 years the same two parties are switching each other, first as the main opposition party against the post-commie government that ruled 01-05, and then just fighting each other.
And this election is the same shit as it is since 2005: tribe of orangutans fighting tribe of chimps. And I'm sick and tired of this shit. Every single party that springs up, fucks itself into oblivion within the span of a single parliament tenure, and they rarely get more than 15% anyway. All while Polish system is geared to favour the party that takes the most votes, so unless you somehow get 30%, you are completely sidelined by design. That's the fallout of the initial, post-commie voting system, which lead to such absurd situations like 25 different parties entering parliament and having a "coalitiong" of 7-10 of them to even try to form a government - so they fucked it in the other extreme, where all the "wasted" votes go to the party with most votes.
I am fucking sick of this shit. Since 2019, every election I go for, I put invalid vote. There is nobody to vote, and the only change is if it's the "liberals" or "conservatives" this time around, but it's all surface level. In reality, both are leader-based parties for power and money.
