I'm still not over the ending of the 3rd one. I'll never forgive them for fucking up the ending and really the writing in general. They had no idea what the hell to do with the core story, so they just came up with something random.
Overall I do love the series though.
First one had hands down the best atmosphere and pacing, it was a great experience.
Second one was a bit of a downgrade in that regard, as it traded the more quiet tempo for action, but the action was hell of a lot better and the story does flow nicely.
The third seemed to have lost the plot regarding the bigger picture completely, but it did have it's moments. Ending was so fucked that it made many never pick up the series again.
And most importantly Tali is the best girl.

So if they ever actually had the reaper fleet show up, it was going to end in some kind of gay ass pull.
Even with the retcon of "mini reapers" there were still thousands of the big ones. We see hundreds of reapers attacking every planet and we're supposed to believe this war was still going on weeks later? Reapers were supposed to be able to shoot atomic bombs every second, in that kind of conflict you either win in a day or you don't have anything left to defend. Earth would have been destroyed by the time you got to the next system in the game. mass Effect travel is supposed to take days.
