This. My city has em all over the place. Walkable and bikeable as hell. You'd think the delivery drivers on these things are fucking suicidal though with how they drive them (yes they're brown, why do you ask?).
The best part about them is they allow escape into a place that is ideally not monitored by cameras, and then the user switches his cars plates, hops in a drives away.

If it does not reach a street legal highway speed, it is not safe nor legal to use on the highway. If you don't have a street legal vehicle, you can't travel freely except by bus or train. To be honest I am tempted to buy a greyhound ticket to a land reservation and just live there. Maybe I can build a mosque with the permission of the community rather than buy private land with money that will never seem to materialize.

Unfortunately it's true and if we did have infrastructure you could make bank doing gig work/delivery. The way it is now, to properly cover your car for gig work requires a commercial driver's license, there are some plans out there but they all play games with liability and IF X then Y coverage. Once you account for wear tear, gas, commercial insurance, gig work becomes unprofitable.
If I need an internet connection to ride a bicycle then I do not need a bicycle.

no. riding on the pavement is gay and annoying. just stay in the edge and watch what you're doing. ive been doing that for 25 years. only had one asshole (a bus driver in the UK) try to fuck with me and just hopped up onto the pavement to avoid getting murdered.

you're forever slowing down, stopping from cross streets, dodging people, watching for people coming out of stores etc etc etc. its absolutely not a problem to just ride on the side of the road about a foot off the curb. in the UK the pavements are nearly always too narrow for riding on it with people anyway and you will end up hitting someone, especially as you will come up from behind all the time since you're moving faster. its gay and annoying for everyone to ride on the pavement. trust me, ive annoyed my fair share of people even just occasionally doing to avoid a busy round about or something.
those are very efficient. great if you're just using it around a smaller town or live outside of one and need to get in quickly.
