It's the survival instinct triggered by fear. What causes fear? Rational thoughts? Of course not. It's an environment that discourages comfort and peace. It's a voice in your ear telling you that you're not safe. It's looking around and not finding peace or comfort in others.

Men, for their part, do not exactly comfort women in the West. Simps do not count because you can't comfort a stranger with intimacy... simp actions demonstrate selfishness which does the opposite of bring comfort to women.

I'm currently nomading it in Latin America, and what I see in women here isn't "more femininity" per se. The women are just less afraid. But paradoxically, the world here is less safe, at least in some countries.

So what is it? Why are Latinas more at peace? Better fathers? Maybe. Less media propaganda? Maybe. But if men, like myself, also experience this fear in the west, it's something even more fundamental than what's affecting the women.

I think it is based on disturbed inner peace. When you lack that, there are a couple potential responses.
1. You clam up and become an herbivore man/woman. In other words, you obsess over the inner world, largely through activities that bring you comfort (video games, porn, etc).
2. You obsess over the outer world and ignore your inner world. This is the fear response.

We need balance. We need both of these worlds. However, a well developed person experiences these worlds with healthy context from their other world. In the outer world, they still feel the inner world, which gives them identity, peace, and happiness. In the inner world, they recognize that an outer world still exists out there, which prevents unnatural identity from forming, like the transgender social contagion.

I could probably be a bit less wordy with this, but I'm still developing my thoughts on the subject.
