Big sellers pitched a bitch fit and coordinated a sell off on the first day to protest Trump and to create a dip that they might be able to profit off of driving markets down 5%. On the second day smaller sellers panicked and sold driving down the markets another 5%. Over the weekend the same effect played out in international markets. On Monday we reached an equilibrium point where the number of people still panic selling and the people putting their money back in to buy the dip evened out and the same trend has continued today.

If you sold early and bought the dip Monday you'll potentially make a 10% profit when markets return to where they were over time. If you sold after the panic then you get holding the bag and if like me you don't play these games and just hold investments long term then you eventually break even without stressing out over it.

Dow is currently up 130 points or 0.4% which is pretty much breaking even for the day.
