Ive only been here a few months but I would say at least 80 percent of the billable(to the government) hours i spent have been for nothing. I get told to do one thing, only to get told never mind. For example, I designed a power circuit last week, only to get told some new goy is going to do it.. I am litteraly done with it already... I did another project that took me 2 weeks, only to get told nevermind, just use the circuits we already have even though mine are better and cheaper beacuse it will be less stress on the software faggots to write new code for new parts. I was litteraly told to find new and better parts..

They compartmentalize everything. I cant even input new parts into our CAD system beacuwe they have a GROUP of people who do just that. For those that don't know what that entails, bascially, a 5 year old can do it, it consists of typing it part numbers in a database and drawing basic shapes.

That being said, these are bar none the nicest people I have ever worked with.. Unlike jobs were i was actually doing cool shit, the bosses there were evil human beings..

What percentage of the compartmentalization would you say is due to regular gov type buearocracy, vs being built in so no one person knows everything about a particular weapons system(secrecy/anti espionage)?
