Add handhelds and it's just another 10GB or so from memory.
A Raspberry Pi 1, 2, 3 and 4 will emulate all of them for dirty cheap. The 5 too but it's less cost effective than a mini PC.
The PS1 library is fucking huge by comparison, so I didn't preserve it locally, but N64's library is both small in volume (Nintendo didn't have games before Sony didn't) and file size. Maybe 5GB.

You can basically have 20 years worth of gaming, excluding the games you don't like, in under half the storage capacity of your smartphone.
If you're into old games and wanna explore them, there's no excuse for not preserving the job lot.

Jap studios aren't even that bad with DIE stuff, but there is a huge difference in quality and even a fear of older video game philosophy being implemented on a big money level. Classic MonHun will always be peak because your hunter wasn't able to move like Spiderman against monsters who move and think like they're in a PS2 game. Exactly you know whats up anon. Yeah I got a $20 stick with 15 k retro games. Has a few ps1 and n64 games but the stick is too weak hardware wise to run them at good fps usually. Theres also Pi like you menioned and mini computers now with complete OS built around emulator gaming.

The more advanced ones you can buy (sure you know) need an actual computer to run off for the graphics but its still dirt cheap and very portable and convenient, especially if you don't want to spend hours copying roms. Right now I can emulate most games up to ps3 (I mainly play ps2/gamecube and below) with no problem on an $88 ebay refurb running on xfe mint.
