If the UK wants to police the internet, they should spend the tax dollars to do so.
I'm sure their citizens would be thrilled.
The UK could also do the Great Firewall of the UK.
Why is the content hoster responsible for policing speech - if someone posts something thr UK government doesn't like, and it's a UK citizen/IP, then thr UK government can flag it as violating law.
Anon Babble reporting had this same option, if the post violates US Law, probably because Anon Babble is a US company so bound by those laws.
If Anon Babble and its servers were in Nicaragua, the US or the UK couldn't do fuck all directly.
They'd convince credit/digital payments to sto, seize assets, put out warrants if the owner ever visited the US/UK would do the same, and the US/UK governments would pay off the foreign Nicaraguan government to bust the host in Nicaragua
Look at Kim Dotcom picrel
Governments want everyone else to police for them
They especially want citizens to police themselves & other citizens, i.e. The Woke Virus
Don't help police with their investigations - they wouldn't punch in and do your job for you, so don't do theirs either, let alone the consequences.
Don't do the governments job either, don't let them convince you to. Why do you think governments try so hard and constantly to brainwash you, propagandist you, and ban books, speech, thoughts?
Because they know what they do is wrong,
And if enough people start to think and act on their own, those people will realize it too,
and once there are many more of them than in the government, that's when two weeks has arrived.
Tech companies shouldn't have to backdoor anything.
