Trump will no doubt give companies and countries tax incentive to bring factories and manufacturing back in the US. That will also hurt China, as I'm sure their behavior will make Trump less likely to extend the incentives to them.

Boosting oil and gas production, coupled with deregulation, will also help the US become a manufacturing powerhouse once again. Being more self reliant will also stick it to China.

To build new manufacturing sites, it will take time. May be 2 years. Depends on industry, location and local regulations. Also, at moment unemployment in USA are around 4.2%. Will there be enough americans to fill those new factories? Dunno.

First of all - China needs export profits. Does 104% tarrifs making it impossible? No because Iphones not growing on trees. You wanna Iphone and you leave in US? pay double. You can do such shenanigans on raw materials. Not finished goods which have "made in China" stamped on them. With raw materials you can try to convince that those are indeed manufactured in those countries. Lets say, iron ore.

There was trade war between Australia and China either before Pandemic, or during it. Xi chimped out for something australian politicians said, and banned australian coal exports. Some time later, chinese importers started to use scheme, that coal got "imported" to Bahrain or somewhere else at first, and then Bahrain exported that coal to China. Xi saved face, chinese got their coal, albeit at higher prices. And chinese powerplants were able to run again. As there was multiple issues because of lack of fuel for powerplants.
Interesting part is that for Australia, at the end it was not big of an issue, as they still had export markets. But instead of going directly to China, that coal went on some "detour".
