Everyone knows, if you are filming people for expressly commercial purposes you do indeed have to get them to sign a release. (aka their permission) to do so. They also know, that they have an expectation of privacy and filming someone against their will in a private setting is against the law.

The problem is, they don't actually know or specifically need to know exactly where those rights end, to function on a day to day basis. So when confronted by 1st amendment auditors, who themselves also overstep their bounds at times; They will say that, because they don't know or need to know the right to film in public supersedes their feelings. That every business having to get every customer to sign a release if they wished to have a security camera on their premises, is insanity.

For me conversation is about looking in the eyes of the others during conversations. In a few minutes you get a good sense of their power level, no matter the subject of conversation. For hot women you assess their interest in getting fucked by you.
