What Trump is doing is similar to making a margin call, saying hey everyone that is using our security and our trade network that we established, time to pay the fuck up.

Being the reserve currency has allowed other allied countries to abuse and game the conditions the U.S. has to adhere to be the reserve currency and maintain the global trade network. That has a cost, and just like America setting up manufacturing can’t be replicated overnight, neither can a global trade security currency network to replace the U.S. dollar.

The closest is BRICs which is like 6% global use and doesn’t have the capabilities of the dollar trade global system, not even close. They’re fucking stuck with us at least until they can build their own independent trade networks.
