Why does it feel like there are no cult followings anymore?

Why does it feel like there are no cult followings anymore?
Like everything feels so artificial
Fanbases don't exist anymore unless something is pushed heavily on you
Like ICP back in the 90s and 00s had a huge cult fanbase and everybody else basically hated them
Where is that stuff today?

Here to stay.

Too much cringe made people wary of being labeled cringe

ngl Great Milenko is a great album. Goes hard.

The Democrat party is a cult.

what are you talking about, retard? There are a billion podcasts, youtube channels, tv shows, and bands that fit your description for cult following

Fans are drones today programmed by the media to like random industry plants who get replaced every few years.

MAGA seems to hit all the boxes.

Anon plz you are not in a cult until you join

Anon is just having his am to old for cults phase

No they didn't

the internet killed everything and anything organic.

The internet mixed with multiculturalism has completely homogenized our culture.

Check your myspace page op. It's not 2001 anymore.

because people more than ever don't choose to be part of something anymore but are manipulated - sorry! INFLUENCED to become a mindless sycophant of the [the current thing]. zoomers all want to be cult leaders collecting their own golems like the jews do on a larger scale. i wager that the jews are behind this.

the internet killed everything and anything organic.

In the 80's and 90's each major city had it's own unique sounding hiphop/punk/metal/electronic music/etc scene with unique traits only found in that city. Music was contained on vinyl, cassette and later CD's which limited the spread of the music. It sucks I only got to experience the tail-end of that, it was incredible during the late 80's/early 90s from what I've seen/heard

there was a philosopher who mentioned that as more cd s are produced the less value every song has, but if you change the medium than that music gains value again. soo online groups were valuable when there was a few thousand chat rooms, but now there are a few thousand chatrooms a day.
they be there but nobody cares.

Most celebrities survive on their cult following nowadays. Few actually produce anything of a value, they rely on branding selling to cult followers.

It was more enjoyable to watch bootleg videotapes of concerts than on youtube today.

Checked

But now it's all jam bands and wooks and crystals and they smoke trash rec.

Zoomers have descended into digital tribalism where they treat their favorite incel streamer as their tribe's leader instead of traditional celebrities.

crafting digital tribes

Haha I was right the entire time, even if it is horrors beyond comprehension.

Streamers are completely irrelevant though
Jerma doesnt do anything

the internet ruins anything interesting before it has a chance to develop

Streamers are completely irrelevant though

I wish this was the case. You have no idea the metaphysical nonsense these fucking people engage in.

the trump cult overtook all of them

kpop is garbage, nobody cares

yeah i am a socially inept autist

i am not insulting juggalos. i am describing them from an objective point of view
the average juggalo is a 90 iq person who had a tough time in school
they are usually stereotypical looking white trash wiggers. just look at videos of the gathering of the juggalos

This. Sabrina Carpenter is a mid bepo baby with prewritten songs and a basic voice. They will push her hard until she gets a wrinkle and the next loli looking teen will be chosen and played non stop on the radio until her marketing doesn't sell Dunkin donuts anymore.

It was the death of local radio stations that caused this. DJs used to pick the music they liked for you to listen to. They'd pick local acts or interesting sounds and teach you about the band.

Now I heart and clear channel own everything you listen to, which is why you hear the same 15-20 songs over and over again.

I got to experience the late 90s music scene and it was fucking amazing.

Woop Woop!
Juggalo 4 Life.
