Probably an aspect of a typical Japaese town I like most is that both pretty rich people and pretty poor people are living in the exact same district almost completely randomly
You can feel it if you live there and I can't really get that vibes from a western city or maybe any other country
So I don't really think Japan is inferior even though I think lots of western cities/towns look very pretty
