Pzh is like what happen if you take everything that exist on spgs and you keep the worst of it. Other than fragility and complexity of the mechanic that make it pretty much useless in war. The base design is kinda insane. Basically you have 2 types of cold war spgs. Casemate ones, following the M-109 formula (aka the fighting compartement is inside the chassis with a turret on top). Or the turret one MSTA/Auf1 (fighting compartement is in the turret). Casemate ones often use a light chassis M-109, 2S1, 2S3, where turreted one will use a MBT chassis. Light chassis is usefull for obvious reasons, but it mean the arty lack flexibity, where turreted spg are more flexible but have the drawback of an MBT. The PZH2000 choose to mix both and kept the worst of both world, casemate arty on a mbt chassis. Like wtf ? You loose all advantage of both architecture, all while keeping all the drawbacks. Peak german engineering.
