The thing that stood out the most to me about Skyrim is that its constellations in the night sky actually have realistic apparent motion that's on an annual cycle. It's something most people would never even notice, and that most people especially now will never will notice because I don't know of any mods affecting the sky that are even aware of it to preserve it. In unmodded Skyrim the serpent constellation spends an equal amount of time in the northern sky as it does in the south which is why, as stated, it appears to be moving through the sky. But this makes absolutely no sense when considering its position compared to the fact that no other constellation moves this way, they have proper positioning in the sky relative to what Nirn's axis would be while the serpent literally moves across the sky, as in the constellation itself is moving. It being made of "un-stars" only makes it more disturbing. Why the effort was ever even put into putting this in the game at all when they had to have known that 99.999% of players never even bother looking up for more than a couple seconds haunts me.

The reality is that the iconography of the empire is completely inseparable from TES. The entire series is based around its decline from a continental superpower to a broken shell of its former glory. The empire IS TES, regardless of who wins Skyrim's civil war it's not going anywhere anytime soon. They'll just make up some excuse for it surviving. The imperial force in Skyrim is a single legion comprised mostly of native auxiliaries and will have no effect on the greater empire's wartime strength. I actually wouldn't be surprised if in VI we learn that the empire changed its official capital from the Imperial City to somewhere in High Rock as a pre-GW2 defensive measure.

I've been playing the Oblivion randomizer. Would recommend. Crashes a lot though. It will randomly make NPCs hostile or have bounties,so you'll be talking to a dude and the guards will suddenly beat their skull in.
