But they cannot cancel and move on because this is their entire life now and they have no career to speak of and no more creativity left. There are numerous ways to avoid the ads (same as Anon Babble) and there's no reason to complain about the sponsored sections since you can easily skip them. Bots in the comments are kind of annoying (you can still ignore them no problem) but it doesn't change anything about the video itself, and if you don't like a comment, who cares anyway. Finally, no one forces you to view the AI shit or any kind of content you don't like, just stop the video and watch something else. Yeah the YouTube app and the website are going downwards, but that's true for most Google services, it's the problem with monopolies, it makes companies go complacent. I remember back when we had to watch everything on tv you would have to watch 8 minutes of adds for every 22 minutes of content. So doing a 30 second to 1 minute add read for a 10 to 20 minute video really doesn't bother me.

Just use yt-dlp or mpv. You can pass a URL to mpv on the command line and it'll get the video and play it. With this method you can watch Youtube videos even on ancient computers. Plus it takes out all the Youtube ads.
