This stuff has a lead time. Tariffs start hitting good that come in after the tariffs are instituted. Most supply chains are done decently in advance about 3 months or so. So you'll see increases but not immediately for most stores.
But China still stopped their shipments to the US and claimed “instability” due to tarifs. US shelves will not be replenished regardless of the tariff status, frozen or active.

so in the absolute best-case-scenario, american customers might have an maximum of 6 weeks until they finally run out of cheap sneakers and around 10 weeks until they cant buy electronics anymore.
its a lot more likely that shelves will be empty significantly earlier, as the above-mentioned supply of goods has already drastically decreased in quantity and only the rest is being passed through to the end customer right now.
