I can’t believe I’m having to do this. Capt. Rebecca Lobach was a private person just like her family and they wanted to mourn privately before the public release of her name. She did not have social media so nothing was scrubbed.
Rebecca was not trans, was qualified with 450-500 hours of training. She did research at Yale, was awarded many honors, graduated top of her class at chapel hill and was applying to medical school and even ranger school. After graduating from flight school she was stationed at DC and then decided to volunteer to help with events at the White House.
Rebecca is a fallen soldier and another victim of this national tragedy and should be treated as such, just like the other pilots and civilians involved.
I am sorry that the public has made a mockery of your achievements and has turned this tragedy into something to fit a weird political agenda. Our nation has failed you Rebecca, and you deserved better.
