ITT: We Invent the Perfect Galactic Imperial System!

While, in these last "Ten-days of Darkness," you Anons, were all out haphazardly "touching grass," or something, I remained, alone, faithfully pondering our future...and the political/imperial system best suited to provide our races with long-lived happiness, prosperity, strength and glory.
What characteristics, in light of human historical experience, do you think are most crucial to attain such goal?
Let's work together to sketch out its characteristics & parameters!

It's pretty simple. The "elites" and the "commoners"...their kids must be educated the same in the same spaces. So this and in time everything will be better...this is the key anons

from the trek universe, I like the Ferengi tradition which says that when you die, your body is converted into collectable disks, and then they auction off the disks to whoever wants to bid

Shalom, Quark!

That's sounds incredibly jewish

Giant fucking walls.

I think it'll take a long time to work out anything close to perfection. I've solved basic parameters like banning terminal narcissists, increasing switch voltage so microcomputers don't work, and decreasing mass travel speed so space junk doesn't ruin navigation. Coincidentally these fit the Dune universe well enough.

If a plan is too perfect, there's no point living it because you have no agency.

We could go full Republic, and raise children communally away from their parents.

Nah that's crazy. But it would be a great way to indoctrinate without having to risk the parents interfering

If a plan is too perfect, there's no point living it

I like the way you think!
This is the true wisdom, Anon!
PS-I do like Frank Herbert, tho, ngl.

I like the Dune story. (Mainly senpai with Lynch movie.)

But I think the sequels are psyops to convince people that the Kwizatz Haderach is bad. He could have been compromized.

I had the same sense, now that you mention it, that the story went too far & began to fold in on itself...or maybe that is the essence of tragedy? Nevertheless, we must be brave and slog onwards through history wherever it may lead! Godspeed, Anon.

XTQ00hf.jpg - 1920x1080, 216.1K

that is the whole point of the ending - the story runs away from its would-be creators, which makes sense both in-universe and in the meta

Tragedy is optional.

So, in essence, you're saying, like Spengler, like the Vedas, ... "the ride never ends!?"

the Golden Path leads everywhere all at once, deepest hells to highest heavens

William Dudley Pelley already laid out the foundations for a perfect system in what he named the Christian Commonwealth. The idea is that you turn the country into a cooperatively owned corporation with the citizens being the shareholders, which solves more problems than you'd think
The book's title was No More Hunger
if you care to read the plan in detail

Thank you! I will read it. I had never heard of it. It does however sound a lot like the English liberal mercantile model a la Adam Smith, like the people now who think it's all about GDP, but neglect all other human realities.

God, I would love to smear my hairy taint on that pretty face.

You niggers aren't gonna make it communist are you!

Or, comedy...these are the two essential forms.

Picrel-and it is no coincidence, I think, that the two expressions ambiguously resemble each other...maybe it's all in how we see it?

Literally watching dune the original right now.
Muad'Dib kill with a word

a reverse surveillance state where the people watch the government and not the other way around. no more secret meetings, no more classified files. no more deep state puppetmasters. absolute extreme radical transparency. not a single conversation, action, email or written word or association from anyone in power not recorded and viewable on a public ledger. and ai to summarize everything so no hiding secrets in thousand page documents nobody reads either.

this is how the Bene Gesserit operates

I don't see it that way generally. I mean there's black comedy about bad things but there's less bad things if people operate in a good oriented way.

if we had this the promise of representative democracy would be real. without this it`s impossible. for the first time in human history we have the technology to make this work and we need to do this.

So, you're implying that perhaps a better form or government or empire can be crafted using AI tools; an interesting idea. But, then who scontrols the AI? An infinite regressing; how do we make a system efficient yet prevent powers within powers?

Tragedy is neither bad nor good, it simply brings out in contrast the consequences for mortals of transgressing a greater order; dharma if you will. It expresses the greater order (Logos, Natural law, Asha, Rta, Dharma, etc) and its perfection by showing both that it should ever be our aspiration, and that it is never fully attainable....in other words, the ride never ends.

PS - likewise for comedy. Only the viewpoint is different. Ultimately, there is not really any other form of "story."

no i`m implying we could actually have a real representative democracy, the system we allegedly have now but for real. but its only possible if the people we elect are physically incapable of operating in secret. so we be sure they are the ones doing the job and are not puppets of deep state actors. then our vote would actually mean something.

the ai is a side issue from the main thrust of my argument. but anyone could have an ai. open ais. you scan the documents with your bots and ill use mine. the point is that everything will be available to us, the ai is only there to help make it digestible. even without the ai my proposal would still be great. it would just be a tool to make it easier. but if we have to have 24/7 livestreams of every representative so citizens can watch them take shits in the bathroom to be sure they`re only passing logs and not secrets that works too.

you want power, give up all privacy or we can`t trust you with it. thats the new deal

Yes, I see. I like this idea of achieving accountability. I have also often thought that engaging on a path of public service, i.e., politics, should be seen like a "vocation" and that a person making such election should, in exchange for a generous life pension (if he does no wrong) abandon all right to earn money privately (i.e., no sinecures, not corporate board memberships, no consultancies, no "book deals," no lobbying positions, etc...). That, and severe penalties for betrayal of public trust."

Pain is tragedy, and if you think that's inevitable quantitatively it's just pessimism. Struggle can be good but if you struggle and just get more pain fuck that.

yeah that`s a good addition, i like it. that too

how does he solve the problem of leadership selection?

democratic voting clearly isn't ideal. being the best manipulator that can gather votes doesn't make make you a competant leader. especially when its largely decided who has the strongest multi trillion dollar propaganda outlets

there is no ideal. you can wish and hope for a benevolent competent dictator and get shafted for a few decades or generations if you don`t get one. or you can vote in some asshole and if he fails you don`t vote for him again, but thats not currently feasible without the radical absolute transparency i proposed here as for your concerns about the idiot masses failing democracy thats already been addressed by the founding fathers of your republic of the united states and that path has been strayed from. it needs to be reset to form. a constitution as in immutable document no leader can oppose and still rule with any legitimacy. and a multi-layered system of governance where the local government reigns supreme, the state with minimal power over the local, the federal with limited power over the state. a single asshole manipulator wouldnt be such a big deal if the republic was as decentralized as the founding fathers intended. but to make it work we need radical absolute extremist transparency like i explained in my posts.

I think personal accountability of leaders would go a long way of disciplining their performance of their functions. It would also dissuade many from wanting political post knowing the solemn personal duty they undertake thereby. As for selection, I think it depends on the level of administration; i.e., local, municipal, regional, stae-wide, provincial, national, etc... If people were more aware and even if not I think if the vote were respected we would get much better results. Often the problem is not the selection itself, but that once selected the politicians are taken over by other oligarchical interests and are no longer accountable to their constituents. We could envisage s system of councils,, both secular and spiritual (like a council of elders, or some such thing), that would have either initial vetting rights or ultimate veto, or recal authority, over certain politicians if they do not fulfill their function. History has many examples of systems like this. The trick is how to make such structures efficient, transparent and not become a problem in themselves as a locus of unaccountable power.

also we need to get rid of media corporations. just abolish them entirely. they have too much power and they`re obsolete anyways

kill all xenos. simple as

This is the perfect system: Install me as Emperor and dictator with absolute power. Meanwhile, create an advanced AI system that follows my decisions. When I die, the AI takes over.

a standardized leadership exam

In the ideal that would be ok, BUT the world is not ideal. No accountability, too centralized; I don't like it. I like the way our constitution made the United States, as conceived, like herding cats.

i like it. it can`t ensure intentions (only my reverse surveillance state proposal could do that) but it could go a long ways to enforcing some standard of competence

Sound like the imperial Chinese civil service examinations. There was wisdom in that.

also in addition to everything else i said we need a ranked ballot to break up the two party systems. and to top political campaigns from being a team sport shit flinging contest. you will need to sell people on your vision without attacking the other guy too hard because you dont want to alienate the oppositions supporters from choosing you as a second choice. but all thats useless without the reverse surveillance state extremist transparency system i`ve proposed

it`ll stop the bullshit "voting for the lesser of two evils" system we are scammed with now

I think it would also be good to enshrine normatively the ideal, as expressed by Christ, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the last of all and the servant of all,” (Mark 9:34), and “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45). This would introduce the necessary spiritual dimension to the public service "vocation" and duty. (Not being preachy here, just saying the ideals are good/sound and important to have as a norm in a society.)

How about no parties at all? Just representatives from various levels of constituencies that are elected by their merit and reputation among their constituencies. No private funding of campaigns at all.

yes. i forgot i used to advocate for an abolishment of political parties. the reason i stopped was i thought it impossible. abolish them and they would still exist but just behind closed doors. but with extremist transparency in the reverse surveillance state there are no closed doors. and they would be caught by the public in their political collusions and denied election and even imprisoned if there was indeed a full party apparatus they were caught in.

it pains me that we`re discussing and proposing and amending each others visions for future political system that could serve humanity but we`re drowned out by a hundred inane slide threads.

Right on. Yes, I know it's hard to imagine a "no party" system being workable given the systems we know, but I think it is. If the aim is to benefit the people of the nation, why have different parties if not to harbor special interests? Different candidates can have differing views of policy to get there, but the proof is in the pudding and with accountability and transparency it should be plain who deserves the vote or election, and continued tenure. (or punishment for betrayal of trust).

political parties are a centralization of power that makes corrupting democracy too easy

MTU5MjA1.jpg - 640x491, 122.77K

Chek'd
Agreed, but it seems Anon Babble after the "10 Days of Darkness" has somewhat improved and is back to its old self where we can debate these ideas rationally. Maybe we could have a regular "Anon Babble constitutional convention" thread where we could examine all these ideas?

No parties just policies that are voted on

we`re back in the light of page one lads

truly we neets and incels are the political philosophers of our time and will guide humanity to the next step of political evolution

Yes, and the catpaws of hidden anti-national oligarchies, or simply powerful special national interests.
Yeah. Maybe, more direct vote, referenda like in the Swiss model?

we need to be able to watch them shit on camera to make sure they`re not in bed with such interests, only then can we make democracy real

This is how we earn our keep! Those wishing an honest disinterested (not to say autistic) answer, simply have to ask! :D

Anons are Plato's latter day Guardians, and Anon Babble is our agora!

sketch out its characteristics & parameters

don't they say don't count your chickens when you have none?

cooperatively owned corporation

I worked once on a construction site building a water treatment plant. I asked one of my co-workers why he takes a new glove every day when I can use one for two weeks. Because throwing away a glove every day is very wasteful.

He answered it's not mine and I don't get reprimanded for doing so.

brutal
some people, you give them an inch and they take a glove

It's not about taking. He takes really nothing.
It's just how destructive and nigger like really most people are if they got to make choices for themselves.

But if he had to pay for the gloves he would wear the same glove until it disintegrated.

Why do you fags keep trying to push one world order bullshit. Each city needs to run their areas according to the will of their people. That is all you need. You want one system to rule people from west Philadelphia to Jerusalem? How fucking retarded are you idiots?

indeed. can`t have all the eggs in one basket, its just common sense. but we can reinvent our baskets for the sake of our future eggs

This. We have the tech. I'd watch it.

Also wanted to add that we have had blockchain/hyperledgers for almost 20 years now and not a single politician understands how CHEAP and ACCOUNTABLE it would be to use blockchain tokens for voting. Voters might be happy to divide their vote between different candidates and tokens can be burned away to continue a fresh round of voting. Making citizen wallets would be as easy as assigning a social security number or other ID, even to people who aren't born yet and received their number.
It could also be a mark of the beast system and I don't want that, just want to fix voting and light a fire under government ass. Watch them sweat their butts off when pressed why USG is so inefficient and won't condone citizen scrutiny/monitoring

Struggle can be good but if you struggle and just get more pain fuck that.

yeah... this leads to madness
