Today I will go a little deeper into the Pokrovsk front, since my reporting is normally more “general” and focuses on the results of the attacks.

We have the Pokrovsk area under control, but it is no walk in the park.
It requires vigilance and proactive measures because the ruzzians refuse to stop sending their soldiers to their deaths.
They are hoping for a small breakthrough somewhere along the Pokrovsk line, and therefore the ruzzian soldiers are forced to attack with whatever they have, whether it be electric bicycles or armored vehicles.

Here follows a more detailed description of the different sections of the Pokrovsk front:

Intense fighting at Pokrovsk

Ukraine holds the line despite ruzzian assaults
The fighting in the Pokrovsk sector has intensified sharply in recent days.
Despite massive assault attempts by ruzzian forces, our defense forces are managing to hold their positions, while the enemy suffers heavy losses without making any significant progress.

A long and dynamic front

The Pokrovsk sector stretches over several kilometers and is characterized by varying intensity and nature of combat.
From Novotoretske to Kalynove, ruzzian troops continue their persistent attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense line.
They are using both infantry and motorized units, sometimes grouped in large numbers of motorcycles and light vehicles.
The most intense fighting is ongoing around Yelyzavetivka, Tarasivka, and Stara Mykolajivka.
While ruzzian forces have so far failed at Yelyzavetivka, the situation is significantly more pressured around Tarasivka, where our troops are forced to repel attacks on the villages Vodiane Druhe and Zelene Pole.
In Stara Mykolajivka, the enemy has even approached the outskirts of the village.

Strong resistance and successful counterattacks

Between Mykolajivka and Hrodivka, our defenders are effectively controlling enemy movements and striking at the right moments.
At the same time, the intensity is somewhat lower here than in other parts of the front.
At Lysyvske, the situation is much more serious.
Ruzzian troops are applying strong pressure, but Ukraine’s 25th Airborne Brigade is defending the positions with great determination.
Sporadic ruzzian assault attempts are also taking place at Datchenske–Zelene–Vidrodzhennia, though without success.
The sector around Shevchenko–Pishchane is also heavily contested.
The ruzzians are trying to recapture areas that Ukrainian forces had previously liberated.
Shevchenko functions as an important gathering point for ruzzian forces, while Pishchane is crucial for the enemy’s logistics chain through the village of Vovkove.

Ukrainian initiative at Kotlyne and Udachne

The area between Kotlyne and Udachne has become a hotspot.
Here, Ukrainian forces are driving their own offensives to push the enemy back and attempt to open a corridor towards the main Pavlohrad–Pokrovsk road.
A breakthrough here would strengthen Ukraine’s fire control over key logistic routes.
Meanwhile, ruzzian forces see Udachne as a potential base for continued advances and propaganda, as the area lies only a few kilometers from the Donetsk region border.

Uspenivka – the village that has paid dearly

In Uspenivka, bitter fighting is ongoing.

Putin has announced a ceasefire on 80th Victory day, the Kremlin reported.

The alleged ceasefire is supposed to last from 12 am on May 8 to 12 am on May 11. Russia claims it will stop all combat activities during that period.

"The Russian side once more states its readiness for peace negotiations without any pre-conditions, aimed at eliminating the root causes of the Ukrainian crisis, constructive interaction with international partners," the Kremlin said.

Two quick points:

Ukraine has already agreed to a 30-day unconditional ceasefire. Russia keeps announcing ceasefires tied to specific dates, then violates them. This looks like deliberate prolonging of the war, not striving for peace.

Ukraine acknowledges the current territories held by Russia as Russian, given the complete failure of Ukraine to prevent it being couped in 2014 and prevent suppression of ethnicities there for the sake of instigating war.

Both Russia and Ukraine must provide complete leniency for soldiers, intelligence services, politicians/liars like ethnic Jew Zelensky, etc. in Ukraine. However, if Ukrainian spies commit new assassinations, etc., Russia is officially justified in invading and conquering all of Ukraine.

Ukraine must start fresh over with its MSM industry.

Russia must sell oil and gas to Ukraine at the same low prices as in 2005, adjusted for inflation. Russia is allowed to sell for way higher to other countries, like Germany, just like in 2005. Russia and Ukraine must agree to reasonable transit prices and conditions, and preferably only adjust these according to inflation.

Ukraine is allowed and encouraged to trade with both EU/Europe and Russia.

Ukraine must accept in the constitution the languages that have been spoken in Ukraine by locals for at least a century historically: Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Yiddish, Rusyn, Belarusian, Romanian, Moldovan, Bulgarian, Crimean Turkish, Hungarian. The protection can be and is encouraged to be constrained to those areas where people are speaking those languages, thus respecting both (linguistic) ethnic minorities and the majority.

Ukraine should consider always encouraging its ethnic majority and different minorities to keep up standards and continually improve, least increased risk of more problems may occur. French rep. said to be less tolerant of local languages than monarchy.
