You should really not listen to anything except what's written in the gospels. That's my interpretation

The one I like that they can never answer:

At no point in the Bible do any characters demonstrate knowledge or understanding of information or concepts that are beyond what someone of the time would or could know.

You'd think if an all powerful deity came down to Earth or sent his agents to do so - that they'd at least let some little nugget slip or throw a bone to his "chosen people". The existence of other continents. The fact that the earth is round and in a solar system. Something about gravity or electricity or germs.

Apologists will contort themselves into knots trying to claim a few passages do this but they're all bullshit. For example in Isaiah they mention the "disk of the earth" using a word that technically could refer to a sphere...but in reality everyone who read it at the time understood it to mean a flat disk and there were other words in hebrew they could have used to unambiguously communicate "sphere".

Similarly every other passage they try to claim does this is either bullshit twisting of language or things that the ancients actually were familiar with that they are trying to claim weren't known about until later.

The Bible says have sex

You're thinking of the Old Testament, which contains instructions for yahweh's chosen people. The New Testament, basically instructions to gentiles for becoming spiritual jews, includes rabbi Jesus (the demi-human blood sacrifice we're supposed to appreciate) encouraging their followers to castrate themselves. And rabbi Paul (author of most of the NT) writes to the Corinthians (chapter 7) it's better to remain unmarried, like Paul is, so you can best serve yahweh--married life has too many other distractions, but hey if you can't handle the burden of being jesus' best goy then go ahead and get married...punkass
