“Schoolgirl blamed by Elliot Rodger doesn’t even remember him”
guy spirals for years, becomes a walking manifesto of loneliness and rejection
writes about how invisible he felt to women
goes off the deep end in the worst way imaginable
the girl he obsessed over didn’t even know he existed
she walks away from it all like it was nothing
no reflection, no remorse, just a shrug
When are we going to talk about how rejection, humiliation, and social isolation affect young men?
Why is it always “he snapped,” but never “what led him to that point”?
Not saying she caused what he did, but can we stop pretending like women have zero influence or responsibility in the social structures that shape this stuff?
There’s a difference between blame and accountability. One punishes, the other reflects.
