Euthanasia should belong to basic human rights. Not only the terminally ill, but also the people being unredeemable that would cost too much money, time and effort to live in society somewhat normally.
In a post-scarcity society having less useless eaters is always a plus. But it seems even having a dignified, peaceful death is not possible, we (as mentally ill, unhealthy, borderline criminals) are lesser than animals.

who cares, when our pets get old and suffer we put them out of their misery, why can't we allow humans who can think for themselves to make that decision on their own?
I'll never forget having to watch my dementia-ridden grandma slowly rot away in hospice for weeks because there was no way to let us end her suffering. It was inhumane and disgusting and yes, if my family had the option to let her die peacefully and not over weeks I would choose that any time.
