DeepSeek is much smarter than chatgpt. Sometimes I ask gpt a question and he gets the simpliest of tasks wrong. It honestly feels like I'm talking to a fucking retard sometimes. DeepSeek doesn't have that problem but it's too slow. I don't want to read it's thinking process for 30 seconds while it thinks of an answer.

DeepSeek also doesn't get offended over the dumbest bullshit. I once asked gpt a question using the word gender and it went on a diatribe about American gender politics (my question was neutral).

This was my first experience with JS but I have programmed with C and C# before (I am not a programmer in my job I work as a chemist but I program for hobbies). I can easily read the code it is outputting though and it looks perfectly fine.

It has errors but if you actually give it the proper system prompts to stop it from outputting everything at once it's extremely easy to program massive files very fast.

I use this as a system prompt:
1. If responses require multiple steps don't proceed to the next step until the user okays it.
2. Keep any code updates short and only update was necessary when asked.
3. For code updates don't re-output existing code that has not changed. Just provide enough of the existing code to allow easy placement of the new code.
4. For summaries keep them concise and short.

I use gemini 2.5 pro, temperature at 0.2 and top p at 0.85

Also obviously I still have to do coding,. But overall I maybe did like 200 lines out of the 1000.

I already know the basics of coding I just find it extremely boring and a huge slog. I can very easily read the code the ai is outputting I just hate the process to get to that point.
