Getting an engineering degree was one of the best decisions I ever made. I met my engineer wife, paid off my debt easily, and now I'm making $200k in an incredibly easy job at age 30.
I know quite a few people who crashed out, but in every case it's because they either couldn't handle the stress or they just weren't smart enough.

Dropped out in grade 8, live better than my most educated classmates except for the one jewish kid who works for Bank of America. Funny, because he lived in poverty... dude took basic banking and then volunteered at a bunch of kid's summer camps and got handed a senior position. Experience and connections > Education. I know plenty of dudes here who got their degrees and then ended up wageslaving because they lacked proper connections. You need to start working, doing whatever, just getting experience of some kind, and try and get on your superiors' good side; they are the ones with connections. Try and hang out with those in upper echelons, and pay no mind to your coworkers, for they are no more than dead weight.
