Concrete also CRACKS. There's no getting around it, it's going to crack, you WILL have to deal with it at some point in the next decade, and if you're unlucky you have to tear it all down and rebuild. Rebuilding with wood is way easier.

The concrete itself does have small insulation value but the r value of the complete icf cast wall can be as high as passivhaus or better. They also have excellent air tightness.
It's not cracks or lack of r value that's the issue it's because it's the weapon of choice for people building more long term low energy houses, which means they also tend to be more expensive upfront; e.g. they may already have heat recovery ventilation and heat pumps fitted.
