When Australia first took migrants, in the 40's, it created the golden years. But we can't just do that again, there are missing pieces.
Firstly, back then there was a glut of unclaimed land, migrants were driving re-zoning, driving up the price of land led to rezoning of new land. Now in 2025 we've run out of sensible placed to build, boomers are building right into sand bars on the beach, on flood plain, on watersheds, on farmland, building in stupid places. We've run out of places to put suburban sprawl so migrants are ust inflating the value of existing dwellings, which led to the boomers second golden age, and abject misery for young Australians.
Secondly, manual labor from the med and yugoslavia geared into primary production, forestry, quarrying, foundries, the demand for building materials could actually be met. developments were made like cement board, asbestos, galvanized iron, pink bats, first the building boom increased primary production then improved material efficiency.
But now, natural resources have been depleted, forrestry is all new plantings and is harvested so fast it's degrading the soil itself. We cannot make plaster board and thinner, we cannot make tin roofing any thinner, we cannot make insulation cheaper, we cannot make windows and smaller.
And thirdly, the balance of capitol in Australia has shifted so radically from new money, young money, workers money, into the hands of banks, that essentially banks own the Australian economy. new money is now a pittance compared to what Australian banks, the most profitable in the world control.
So really we need to shoot a banker, build flats, de-register builders, buy-to-rent sub-prime property to stop negative gearing, and the state needs to basically seize the private wealth of pensioners held in bank trust. so super funds properties. We just have to steal them, zero corporate ownership
