I haven't seen any noticeable spikes in ammo prices over the last few months. 5.56/223 is holding steady at about 42-50cpr, and 9mm has been stable at 22-25.

But yes, stock up. I wish I had more to spend on ammo, but I've started doing weekly box buys in addition to semi-regular case purchases.

I hate how slappy 115gr 9mm feels, 147gr is so much more smooth feeling (at least for target shooting). Probably 124gr is best for most carry ballistics, but 115gr is just for stupid niggers who don't want to pay an extra $20-40 per case.

Having a full length grip feels better, but for a CC gun most of the time you are "using" it isn't just shooting; it's concealing it, and the grip is the part of a handgun that prints the most in your pants.

Those joos over at IWI make a very nice rifle. The recoil is a bit stout on the .308 model but I would take it over the Scar or run of the mill AR10. The H&R 604 in the background is very nice too, the quality is orders of magnitude better than any other complete retro AR I’ve come across.

Also, OP, just get a Glock 40 MOS. I got a G20 and love it, but wish I would have gone with the G40 for the longer barrel and optic cut. IMO, 9mm is best for CC, if you’re inna woods who do you need to CC from?

In some places (like California) the average person will immediately call the cops if they notice you have a gun in your waistband and when those cops show up they will be scared and ready to shoot. The grip is the most conspicuous part of a concealed and gun and having a shortened grip helps a lot.

You sound like an absolute retard. 10mm microcompact is going to be very unpleasant to shoot. Buy something in 9mm. It is more common, cheaper, and lower recoil so you might actually hit what you are shooting at. "Stopping power" is a myth. IWBA is a journal that talks about it in depth. You can find most of it online for free.

Buy some Glock in 9mm. Bigger guns are easier to shoot but are harder to conceal under clothing. Smaller guns are more concealable and more comfortable to carry but are more difficult to shoot accurately. The Glock 19 is the gold standard.

Practice with whatever gun you choose. Cheap FMJ is fine. Steel case can be rough on the gun but it is usually fine. Carry some Hollow Points marketed for "self defense" and make sure that particular ammo works in your gun.

If you want a rifle get and AR-15 in 5.56. Buy from a reputable brand. Make sure to put on a flashlight and a sling. Don't cheap out on the optic or magazines either.

I don't know much about shotguns but I've heard the Beretta 1301 is the best semi auto money can buy. Mossberg 500 is also a cult classic. I've heard that Remington had some bad QC issues but are improving after they got bought out by CZ. Buy an 870 at your own risk.

My final miscellaneous advice: Buy once, cry once. It is worth spending the extra money on high quality equipment (you wouldn't buy a fire extinguisher from TEMU). Do your research. Weight and size are very important when it comes to actually carrying a handgun. Buying a good IWB holster sucks. You will probably need to buy a few before you find one that is actually comfortable. For the love of God, learn the 4 rules of firearm safety and don't break them. Guns are not toys. They are tools designed to kill.
