I mean I think culture and society was a degraded mess during the late 20th century. But at least it was still something definable and characteristic. That all ended when millennials started hitting the age when you are supposed to leave your mark. We just kept consuming (and pirating) instead.
I think the redeeming feature of millennials though are how informed we still manage to be.
