When the pressure drops you'll feel it in your arm and be able to push the door open and get out. Or just wait and escape when the car fully fills up, but that's not preferred because of how murky the water is and how much harder it is to find your way to the surface under duress.

If you're injured at all it might be difficult. I just keep various window breakers, seat belt cutters, etc just in case.

If you realize what is happening early enough you just open the window before the electronics short out. If you are past that point you break out a window using anything you can get your hands on. If you are a pleb that doesn't have an escape tool in the glove box, a little known fact is that most headrests can be removed completely and the rails that hold them in the seat are metal. It's important to note here you won't 'push out' a door window that is fully closed since it's secured by the door frame on all sides and is quite rigid like that. You need something with a point that can actually crack the window glass so it can be broken out in pieces. Door window may actually not be ideal either since they're smaller, sunroof or back window could be the better option. DO NOT try to break out the front windshield though they're made to shrug off rocks flung from the road at a hundred miles an hour, your noodle arms won't do shit.

Trying to open the door before the pressure equalizes is an effort in futility (you will just waste your stamina that you are going to need to swim to shore) and so escaping through the door is also the least ideal option since it requires you spend more time in the water and the risk of hypothermia is increasing. The only reason you'd open it at all is if you have no other option but a door escape and are intentionally trying to flood the car faster.

If you don't panic and do something stupid (like forget to take off your seatbelt) you'll have a pocket of air in the back of the car for a few minutes so drowning is by no means guaranteed. Again the bigger issue would be using up all your stamina doing dumb shit, freezing to death, being unable to find shore (if you fell in at night), etc
