I've bought syrup from Canada (don't know where in Canada), Vermont, and Michigan, and didn't notice much difference. I would say the Michigan syrup tasted the best (but I lived there at the time and it was made very near by and was very fresh, so possibly not a fair comparison)

Thats usually hows its done now. The cows can freely walk into the robot whenever they want at all times of the day and the robots have a big snack bowl with grain to entice the cows in. Then while they stand there eating the robot swings in under them, laser targets their udder and milks them.

Nobody in NY or Vermont dairy farms are hiring illegals. They hire kids and pay them a farm wage. Which is less than the federal minimum wage
