Putin has no intentions to bring the Russian soldiers back home. Putin doesn't need the risk of armed opposition and having millions of people who are very used to killing and have gotten accustomed to quick money and swift murders.

If the war does last till 2029 at Ukraine's expense, here is what the situation will look like: a weak, exhausted Ukraine with destroyed infrastructure (and millions of refugees to Europe in the meantime - the elderly, the sick) and a strong, armed and very anti-European Russia.

Will Europe be fully ready to defend itself in this scenario? To be honest, I doubt it.

Europe needs Ukraine. Ukraine needs Europe. We are strong together, and the sooner peaceful Ukraine becomes a part of European defense system, the less likely a Russian aggression against Europe will become.

But I remember reading somewhere that about 30% of the amputations in RuAF were caused by the incorrectly applied tourniquets. The same research also said that about half of the russian deaths would have been preventable if they had proper professional medics looking at their wounded.
