I don't know if they were coordinating over CB or what but it seems like in the past it used to be that truck drivers would see when that as happening and temporarily clear out of the middle lanes somewhat to let traffic flow. I don't see that happening anymore and have increasingly even seen them illegally getting into the leftmost lane.
