US Military Sidearm Goes Off By Itself, Manufacturer Pushes For Immunity From Lawsuits

Be Sig Sauer

hire jewish CEO Ron Cohen who destroyed the reputation of Kimber

Ron Cohen bribes US military to adopt Sig as primary supplier of small arms to US military and they skip over all the rigorous testing to select a weapon that they usually do

Now Sig rifles burn out super fast and weigh a ton and the barrel can be bent with bare hands

the handgun is going off by itself when lightly bumped

Ron Cohen asks New Hampshire lawmakers to make Sig immune from prosecution from people suing them due to the gun going off unless they can scientifically prove and reproduce it

lawmakers agree and approve it in record time without letting the public know it's up for a vote

m17x-web-5.jpg - 1000x700, 55.03K

Just wait until they strap a Sig P320 on the side of a Boeing 737 Max.

They're too expensive for what they are.

Should have used a Glock.

Jews don't bribe, that uses their own money, it would have been a kickback

Total piece of shit.

Ahh yes the pistol with no safety because women and niggers forget to turn them off under stress

What's the deal with Americans and Glocks? They're just not very good guns. Is it solely because you can get them so cheaply over there, or is it because they were the first?

I know Australians are all into Gucci shit (even the loaner guns at my club are Shadow 2s), but I feel like even at that price point there are just so many options which are way less shitty.

Our population is 80% retards

Glock WANTS to fail, at this point.
They couldn't make a single proper thumb safety model after two fucking decades? Give me a break.

It's like the new Agent Orange

no safety

What the hell else would you call a compound trigger??

Glock has been around longer than all those other guns and it had powerful marketing.
It has the biggest aftermarket, cheap magazines, and to be honest Gen 5 is impressive. The internals are so simple and efficient that somehow nothing else comes close. There are better options for the money but Glock has the ubiquity.
Also the law enforcement discount is steep.

The M17s are not going off by themselves. That's the P320s. Why are you lying? Or are you just ignorant?

It has multiple safeties, just not the TACTICOOL one you want to fondle.

They’re cheap as shit and despite the moa loss compared to some custom, you can pretty much be sure the Glock is going to operate with any available ammunition. Also, switches, but that’s mostly the draw for negroes

*AHEM

IMG_3905.jpg - 750x488, 470.22K

It depends on the glock really. You are correct most glocks are absolute shit.

There is an official report out there where a Marine's M17 went off because he bent down or something. Sig sucks.

Law enforcement is big into them. Gun nuts followed. I still prefer Sig, though my actual favorite is Bersa.

I mean the one that locks the trigger, like on rifles and shotguns. The type a white man will switch off as he raises the gun without even thinking

I only use Austrian made ones. They are light and you can upgrade them easily. Not to mention magazine interchangeably. Glock is missing out on alot of money tho. They could easily machine a safety into the slide somehow I would think and also BUILD A CARBINE.

Holy shit, nogunz

I used to think they're shit but watching Police Activity taught me they're effective, especially mag dumping

The trigger is locked tho. Take a very deliberate and specific motion to pull the trigger

The magazines are the part I like least about them.
The way the rounds stack up in the mag triggers my 'tism something fierce.

People called me a schizo when I said the next gen rifle and pistol trials were a sham and were going to turn out even worse results than the beat to shit 40 year old parts being used to maintain the m16's, m9's, and m249's.
Well, even aside from the QC of Shit Shower, they purposefully were being retarded to draw as much tax money out of the deal as possible. The US military wanted their new battle rifle to be capable of punching through level 4 body armor in urban warfare and also to not have any parts compatibility with the AR platform (gee, I wonder why? surely it couldn't be because they'd been labbing out a conflict with US citizens right??)
If they'd not been stupid and faggy they could've chambered the new rifle in 6.5 instead of 6.8 and re-used most of their existing parts and training by using AR-10 stanag mags instead of AR-15 stanag mags and gotten just as much theoretical performance with none of the enshitified kroger brand MCX's drawbacks.

The official report is that when someone tried to squeeze past someone in a hallway, the holsters made contact, and one of the weapons fired. That is not the same as 320s going off when dropped. Not to mention, Garand Thumb recently did a video drop-testing a bunch of different guns, and the 320 didn't go off even though they dropped it like a dozen times. The only ones that did go off were all 2011 models from newer companies.

Glocks are basically Honda civics. Basic bitch functionally with no frills at all. Super reliable but don’t expect anything exciting out of them.

DAO guns are gay as fuck

What's the deal with Americans and Glocks?

10mm and they are very reliable. Plus Glocks fit bigger hands better.

DSCF0440.jpg - 1600x1200, 604.24K

Thats it tho. Men need metal guns for bashing snd intimidating niggers

The market would probably look down on one with a safety, especially since it will inevitably cost like $20 more. Being able to have it loose in a backpack or glove box would be worth it for me

Well they have single stack mags now too.

I'd rather have an XCR.

They made a prototype with a thumb safety for the trials because retards in the Army need that. You are a jarhead tier dumbfuck.

Fuck no. I have very large hands and the full size Glocks absolutely feel like a fucking 2x4.
The G48 is nice, though.

make Sig immune from prosecution from people suing them due to the gun going off unless they can scientifically prove and reproduce it

thats not what the law says
legiscan.com/NH/text/HB551/id/3233901

the robarms one? Did the shitlibs ban them?

Yes, and they made the shittiest safety they possibly could be cause it's Glock.
There are a bajillion Gen 3 clones with safeties but Glock can't do it for some reason.

It's not a feather trigger or anything but it can get caught on something etc. Seen a recent video of a nigger who had it on a belt clip and the foid pulled it out with a finger on the trigger and shot him point blank through the thigh lol. You probably seen that too

They should have put the safety on the slide like the beretta

Sig outsources all their parts from India. If anyone is to blame its jeets

Yes, they're prohib in Canada now.
Fuck the LPC.
Did you know that if gun owners voted for the LPC they'd have a supermajority? Their anti-gun bullshit costs them so much power.

nothing wrong with the Glock trigger safety if you aren't a mouth breathing retard

ex zogbot SOF retard

Fuddlore. For a long time (90's-00's mainly) it was considered the bees knees because they were one of the few gun companies to not get totally cucked by Clinton's magazine bans that persisted well into Bush and Obama. Law Enforcement loved them for their reliability and "high capacity" magazines, and once the restrictions were lifted, they were already there day 1 with lots of aftermarket parts and mags for people to buy. And like with anything, once people get set in their way, they start to perpetuated lots of myths about the guns in question.
If someone wants a glock, I'd recommend a smith and wesson MP instead. More features, just as reliable, comes with a lifetime warranty, and is half the cost MSRP.

I'd have a metal one, I'd buy a good one if my life depended on it. But issuing them to retards trained to efficiently pull them out and mag dump works very well indeed

glock

okay ackmed

CZ or gtfo

safety+decocker

easily activated by thumb

costs half as much as a glock while providing same reliability

I had a 29. They surprisingly don't recoil as much as one would think.

Im fucking off from this hellhole soon. Good luck yall.

Part of the fundamental law system of the USA is to be able to sue anyone for any harm done, no matter who they are

Congress keeps passing exemptions from this basic legal function

Why isn't it unconstitutional to shield particular companies from legal recourse? Does the Constitution say somewhere that you can exempt companies you like from laws?

Worst safety I've ever seen although at least they made one

Why isn't it unconstitutional to shield particular companies from legal recourse?

Money.

I'm doing the paperwork for the same.

supposed to be a stealth gun, not by desert metrics but for hands coloration.

gun pantone color is: guatemalan-mexican-american

Is it solely because you can get them so cheaply over there

Yes. You'd be amazed how cheap people are about a tool they only expect to use in a life-or-death situation.

The real story here is that these were selected for a massive military purchase through corrupt jewish cronyism. The CEO of Sig is a ruthless connected jew who got super wealthy destroying Kimber before he came to Sig.

Decocker should be your safety. Fuck glocks.

Very masculine

That's not what the immunity is about. The ruling says that Sig can't be sued over the presence or absence of specific features, like external safeties or loaded mag indicator. Any lawsuits need to be over faulty design, not related to these specific features.

In other words, if your P320 goes off on it's own, you can't sue Sig because it doesn't have an external safety, since those specific features do not constitute an unsafe firearm.

US Military Sidearm

thing that soldiers will need to use about 0.01% of the time

let's change it so we spend more taxpayer money

Typical. The 1911 was good enough, and so was the M9 Beretta.

I shot a dying cow with a Vz 70

I like how Anon Babble is so dogshit now that we have better gun threads on pol. The Ukraine war ruined that place….

just get a good holster. Tbh I'm gonna get a 4 inch barrel Beretta 92 Inox when I move to Florida.

Is the XDM compact a good gun because that’s what I carry?

You auscunts don't know shit about weapons.

It's a sign of the times. Post-COVID collapse. Just like 1 in 12 registers open at the grocery store, just like moldy wafer thin particle board in the lumber aisle at home depot, just like judges releasing prisoners out the back door, just like your pistol shooting you instead

That's basically what OP said lol

I've already got myself a 92.
I'll probably buy myself an itty bitty .380

That sounds horrible

I'd recommend the Bersa Thunderer, most reliable .380 I've ever had.

Aus

Dumb Pajeet.

Glock is so fucking stupid they just canceled production on the G17L

Based

enemy armies now routinely issue plate armor

develop new sidearm

equally ineffective against armor

Not to mention easiest field stripping ever.

remove mag

hit take-down switch

slide comes off

barrel comes out

spring rod and springs come off easy

Takes 10 seconds. Nothing comes close. Beretta engineering from an Argentinian factory.

oh yeah my b

It's just a cashgrab to sell up inventory, they'll bring it back.

The 320 is cheaper to produce than the 92. That's why.

Shut up retard, no one actually cares about the 17L.

A shame. I carried a P229 , and it was solid as fuck. Maybe that was before they got merchanted. It sure as shit beat the literal Vietnam era M9 I was issued when I first deployed that launched its slide 15 yards downrange in a random gear shakedown one day. Dangerously hair trigger before it disassembled itself.
RIP sig if that's the case

Do grunts even carry a pistol typically? Who carries a pistol in the military? MPs?

He doesn't like long slides

WOW, WHAT A LOSER

Reminder the Ruger RXM is superior to Glock

I wouldn't ever buy another sig after owning a mosquito. What a collossal piece of shit that was. You couldn't get through 10 rounds without it jamming. Then eventually the slide just snapped right behind the foresight for no apparent reason. Shittest handgun I have ever owned, and I have black powder guns.

Post your 17L.

Weren't in stock during the handgun ban panic buy.

We can own pistols too, fairly easily, we have to join a pistol club and go at least 12 times per year. No restrictions on the pistol apart from the club has to agree that you need it.

It's a humiliation ritual but I consider it much less than living in USA, let alone Canada

I'm hunting for a P226 or P229 in 357SIG. You can't find them anymore. It's like everyone started going 357SIG. Annoying.

Haha longboi

IMG_3907.jpg - 750x501, 99.77K

Pretty much everyone. Every infantryman in addition to their rifle and every POG to snuggle with at night on the cozy FOB.

Nowhere near as cool as the 17L

To be fair they should be like a ruger 10/22. My boomer dad has one that's like 30 years old, has probably fired 10k rounds and he's never cleaned it, he doesn't even know they're supposed to be cleaned and argues with me about it. My 10yo one that has fired a couple hundred shots hasn't been cleaned either but I'll do it within the next decade or so

You're good my G, you weren't wrong

Man you aren't lying. There is a reason they added all the extra springs and shit with them. The Ruger SR22 pistol put that thing to shame. For a .22 pistol.

Oh so you don't even have one?
The 17L is a fucking meme no one actually uses. Too big to carry, shittier balance than the G34, G17, and G45, everyone uses red dots now so the long sight radius isn't as useful, there is no point to it. No one who talks up the 17L actually has one.

Cleaning a timfire is sacrelige.

I'm sure. But you'd think while they're at it they'd use something a little lighter and faster to get through a vest up close

it sucks at this point just get a Mark 23

It's a sporting gun, Anon.

7.5 FK would make sense if soldiers weren't half DEI hires.

I tried every fucking spring they sent with it,and every tuning method I could find. It was still trash. It came apart aftet maybe 5000 rounds. Sig wouldn't even respond to my emails abd when I called they found out what I wanted and just left me on hold forever. Never buy their shit.

You are a fucking Canadian that has no idea what he's talking about. In competitions people are using CZ Shadow 2s, 2011s, PDPs/Caniks, or... Glock G34s. No one is using the 17L except as a joke because the G34 and G47 are better balanced anyway, and also quicker out of the holster.

Same. Switched out mags springs, plates, tried all ammo. It's just garbage.

So what is the group mind of Anon Babble think of the HK45 ACP USP?

Get the Bazooka or ah uzi

Kek based

After market support thanks to cop contracts is also why they are very popular and cheap. You see the same shit for ex military supplies and national guard. VERY steep discount vs everyone else. Its also why police supply shotguns are also popular and cheap for that same reason as Glocks. Just not as iconic. Meanwhile military, National Guard, and Police share a lot of logistical requirements. Throw in contractual resupplies and replacements. Puts competitors at a HUGE disadvantage. Which is worsened with import bans.

Makes you wonder if they want their soldiers outgunned

Do they still use a proprietary rail system? I'm a poor faggot and never had an HK

Pistols are historically issued to people either because they are in a role where they aren't expected to do much fighting (like driving supply trucks) or for leadership roles where you're more likely to shoot your own men.

Only the USP has the gay proprietary rail and that's because it came out at the start of the rail wars so they bet on the wrong horse and lost.

Better investment than paying 2x for a Kimber Custom. I'd rather get a USP in 9mm tho.

I don't even clean rimfire benchrest rifles. I'm not wasting 2 packets of R100 to get them to shoot decently again with the price of that shit.

But even the truck drivers need to be able to shoot through a vest if something goes wrong at a checkpoint etc. Not that hard to make AP just by necking it down

I guess dad has boomer wisdom after all

So what is your daily carry Anon Babble?

IMG_5646.jpg - 527x663, 82.75K

Yeah, just like the old Beretta 92fs, and the Glock, and the SiG 226. They called them the Wonder Nines.

What’s pol’s opinion on Canik? I’ m seeing them around a lot more lately

IMG_3908.jpg - 1920x1080, 1.38M

THey're fucking good, but go ask on Anon Babble /hgg/ before you buy, they'll give you better info than this board.

They released the firefly where they had fixed that shitty feed ramp, but that had just as many of its own issues. Now sig like to pretend neither of them ever existed.

turkshit

im kinda feelin that

Obviously made for the reddit updooter market

Buy a real Walther

It's basically a Walther PDP with gamer aesthetics. They're good guns but the gamer aesthetics might be a negative.

I know a couple of guys who run caniks in IPSC open class and love them. They feel good and solid. Seem to shoot well and are reliable. They haven't exactly been left factory standard though.

people suing them due to the gun going off unless they can scientifically prove and reproduce it

be a nigger or latina shitskin
enlist
get SS pistol
shoot your leg
get $$$M lawsuit
profit
SS le baaaaad!

So is there really an issue with the sig, or do the diversity hires keep having NDs and the respective chains of command keep sweeping that under the rug?

This. The Glock 24 is soooo fucking comfy... One of the best shooting .40 S&Ws due to its length, IMHO. The caliber needs a long slide or a full alloy frame to succeed, but it's so damn good once it has what it needs.

That stupid mosquito left a bad taste in my mouth. I used a 226 once and the slide didn't lock back but it was probably never cleaned, as it wasn't mine.

There is a video where a white cop's Sig P320 goes off while fully seated in a Safariland Level 3 OWB duty holster, the most tested holsters on the planet, because during a struggle the suspect bumps him.
This should nolever happen and it is beyond words how fucked up it is that it did.

Same. And the way they dealt with it too. Rather than warranty their trash, they sent cease and desist notices to people badmouthing them, and tried to charge people full retail price to replace defective parts. Then just stopped even responding to enquiries about the mosquito or firefly. Fuck sig sauer. Kikes.

Isn't this the plot of Remo Williams?

The kike CEO should have to have a loaded sig320 placed next to his skull for a couple days if he's so sure it's not a problem.

They always go bang, they're fairly accurate, and with basic upkeep will last your entire life. They will fire when half caked with mud, or even underwater. I don't know why boomers hate them so much. Glock 20 10mm, Glock 21 13 rounds of .45acp, get fucked social security boomer niggers. Go deepthroat a 1911.

Do grunts even carry a pistol typically?

Not really but it depends. They are generally a waste of space and weight. Machine gunners are issued them so they have something other than a 240. Sometimes guys would get one if they were assigned to a vehicle turret. Mostly to point at unruly Arab children who like to throw rocks. Tankers, officers not in the infantry, MPs, and other such POGs who need a weapon but not a rifle are supposed to be issued them. However, a pistol is just the means to something better. MPs and artillery men in theatre are issued rifles. I remember hearing stories about tankers who would get their hands if M231 PFWs (irl bullet hose) and M3 grease guns that have been sitting in warehouses since Korea.

God commands we don't murder.

But if no other options are available, a glock is correct.

And for all other methods of dissuading criminals, remember:

- God commands you not to murder
- Wood bats are easily burned, it's why the mafia uses them
- Criminals out on parole can rarely call the cops

GET THAT SIGGER BITCH OFF THE RANGE

97.jpg - 490x720, 79.36K

this is true of everything bc jews

With Jews you lose

talmud.png - 503x515, 703.38K

At least that jew was honest

yeah. pistols arent important anyway.

It's not that you can sue them if the gun goes off, it's that you can't sue them if the gun goes off

Lmao bro bitches about people buying a specific gun but cant buy and own his own.

Shut up faggot

and the barrel can be bent with bare hands

Source? Uh oh you're going to post the video of the guy who screwed the barrel on wrong.

Why would you ever have it loose? Just carry it like a man.

You are literally from Australia

How did it go off by itself? This hasn't been a problem with modern firearms for almost 100 years, and much longer in most cases.

Please don't comment about things you don't understand.

Thats a fucking joke i hate my fucking m&p shield and got a glock 19. Anyone that buys smith and wesson is a retard

The 1911 never had this problem. It is specifically engineered for this to never happen.

God I fucking hate casual gun owners and the gun threads they ruin. Their opinion consists of a ball of random shit they read on the internet, and now they must educate us with their comprehensive knowledge.

muh 1911

it's a good gun but there are better ones now

Totally outdated

1911s are nice, I agree. I would just rather the weight I'm carrying in a handgun be in the amount of ammo it can effectively carry and utilize.

Such as?

I like mine

M&P Shield+, among many others. The 1911 is like the Beatles - great for its time, ahead of the curve, but since then everyone has learned from it and built upon it

The contrarians said it's shit. Stop liking something.

The current sig pistol and riffle are trash

1911

yeah that 7 round capacity is some retard level shit.

Honestly they should have just bought Glocks. I don’t even like Glocks that much but they’re cheap and they work fine.

Loose rattling around in a bag or glovebox. No cuck case

the only good SIG is the shit from switzerland, not the local jew CEO crap.

N22_5373.jpg - 2500x1663, 1.38M

Cool, that means they must be good, I'll take a look.

Price is not a concern for the US military, they only care about logistics. Uniformity of ammunition is their primary concern, in terms of infantry weapons.

Why not just use the 1911? They aren't going to use pistols anyway

What a fugly little girl gun

loose indeed

best_answer.png - 414x333, 26.95K

Old fucking news. Literally decade old news, 11 year old news. US civilians have known the p320 is garbage for over a decade, even their newer cope kits. There are videos of American civilians testing and proving this 10 years ago.

Dude the reason they bought sigs is because the trigger mechanism is modular, you guys don't know anything.

even the loaner guns at my club are Shadow 2s

Considering the barriers to entry with handgun sports shooting in Australia, this is absolutely no surprise.

1911s are not even remotely drop safe lol. It took until the series 80 to get a proper drop safe firing pin and they universally have terrible triggers.

Series 80 triggers are just fine.

It usually comes down to sustainment complexity.
Small arms in general are extremely small acquisition costs for a modern military, but they have a very broad and shallow logistics chain. The P320 was supposed to make some of that easier, by making the gun modular with a removable action.

They honestly don't put a huge amount of effort into small arms at all, comparatively speaking. They just get a lot more public attention (especially in America) because it's a recognisable product which regular people buy as a hobby item.

in the official paperwork outlining their reasonings, the army says they want to address units getting pot shots taken at them from outside the effect range of 5.56 (750 - 100+ meters). Problem is, these pot shots are being taken by insurgent taliban fighters with PKMs, not AKs. So the US army's standard infantry rifle is being built to counter an LMG with a 25 inch barrel chambered in a classic full power rifle cartridge. At first I was thinking "anti civilian armor piercing" but the round is mediocre at armor piercing as well, it's just genuine upper echelon retardation.

Disrespectful

I doubt they made anything easier

its quite funny how everything weapons/defense related that get bought by burges goes into the shitter hard and fast...

Kek like when we bought that frigate design from the pastaniggers because it was cheap and then changed everything until it cost twice as much. Gotta make the (((MIC))) rich

At first I was thinking "anti civilian armor piercing" but the round is mediocre at armor piercing as well

Isn't the marketing line "it turns cover into concealment"

this

This post brought to you by the CMC gang
Not disagreeing with you, just noticed a lot of Sig hate lately. Wut do?

IMG_0005.jpg - 770x430, 16.34K

then it doesn't need a thumb safety you fuckin idiot.

Why the fuck is your sentry asleep on guard duty with an unsecured weapon?

Pretty cool that they put a meat tenderizer on that pistol.

If I were carrying one, I'd at least want one of these to not get Glock leg.

Why would you get glock leg? Just keep it holstered at all times and attach the holster to whatever youre wearing.

New Hampshire

Based libertarians

At least their LP twitter account is cool
God the free state project was such a failure. The most they did was declare war on meter maids and smoke more weed than vermont

The trannies ruined that place….

the people who like glock are faggots who hold their hands faggy with bent wrists

that pistol becomes a melee weapon after it disassembles itself firing so it serves a purpose

He wants to be able to pull the trigger and have nothing happen to increase the odds of taking nigger-glock-switch bullets directly to his skull.

The handgun of choice of the American negro. Paired with a switch, this combination has proven absolutely lethal

They are good guns though. What other pistol manufacturer has claimed more bodies than Glock?

I sleep with an h&k 45 next to my bed, it’s sitting on top of a copy of blood meridian

it creates fragmentation

They point high

it's not that i can read, it's that i can't read

Basically this, they even dropped the sign from multiple heights, not something they did with their other guns. Everyone is just mad at sig cause some smug former army captain read a report from some dude. Like if you read it, you'll know the biggest problem was weight and low round count, that's an army problem for asking for a battle rifle in a large caliber instead of a new assault rifle

Another step towards brazilification. Now you've got your own Taurus!

Price/performance ratio.

should have kept the baretta for sidearm.

barrel bent by hand

if this is true ahahaha bureaucrats are everywhere.

weight

this. They just use tax payer money to enrich politicians, which are usually immoral DEI hires

Man that would be some shit eh cobba? Fuckin oath

Yes, but it's just a slightly hotter 6.5c. It'd make more sense if they'd developed it as a steel core round instead of a lead core round.
My personal opinion is that their on paper reasoning was true, but that they also wanted to have the ability to pierce civilian body armor; and, probably, the body armor they left behind when Dark Brandon pulled out of the middle east and left all our toys there to be salvaged by the enemy.
It's just that everyone in the brass is bought and too retarded to be making the decisions they are. At the very least, even if I'm wrong, I'm 100% correct about the decision to use 6.8/.277 fury being for the purposes of eliminating cross compatibility with the AR platform - the most popular gun in the US - which was crystal clear from the specifications laid out for the rifle trials and the designs they actually considered adopting.

Nice to see America pajeetmaxxing with lightspeed corruption.

hire jewish CEO Ron Cohen who destroyed the reputation of Kimber

This kike is having parts for the P320 trigger group manufactured in india, in case anyone was wondering why its such a piece of shit.

Don't forget the sheer retardation they did to their machine guns. Why the fuck would a machine gun ever need a goddamn silencer? Next gen infantry weaponry is top tier retardation. The faggots using 3d printers to design new weaponry is gonna blow everyone out of the water.
