(b) One system can defend a larger area because of longer range and because it can be mounted on roofs and towers
(c) There is less likelihood that you will accidentally shoot at people behind the drone if you miss and the shell self-destruct mechanism malfunctions, or that people will be peppered with fragments. So your firing arcs are more flexible.
(d) It is based on an existing design
