I'm sure Americans will enjoy making toasters and sponges and buying them for 5x more

EGGS AREN'T WORKING ANYMORE WHAT DO WE DO?

UHHHHHH TOASTERS!

anyone that thinks manufacturing will return in the next 4 years is a retard, doubly so considering corporations can and will likely just wait for the dems to get back in office

America is a service base economy currently. Building a toaster is more fulfilling than being a cashier.

Would you like to sign up for the Target Redcard?

What value have meta, google, microsoft and apple actually provided? Advertising and consumer data harvesting?

you cant base your entire society around tech jobs and export everything else
its a fast way to filter out 80% of people out of the job market
we're in the same boat, gonna collapse soon

Americans are going to automate all this shit.
American Tesla Robots are just around the corner to manufacture non stop 24/7
God Bless President Trump and white people.

What browser and OS are you using?

I worked for Amazon robotics, they typically have engineers there ensuring the automation doesn't break. Why can't we? Train automation engineers and build high quality, inexpensive products?

Plus what if the toaster never breaks? Would it matter if it cost 10x the cheap thing that you buy every other year? The disposable society must be thrown out for long term sustainability

Data collection for the NSA. That's about it. The dirty little secret about the tech "industry" is that they haven't innovated anything major since the smartphone nearly 20 years ago. It's a stagnant, non-industry that pumps out spiritual warfare at this point more than anything else.

LibreWolf and Linux Mint Cinnamon.

Why do much garbage tho. A little flex seal and some bins and pick shit up. You might not be poor you might just be trashy.

It's actually cheaper to just pay American workers than it is to pay for cheap foreign labor and then ship it halfway around the world

The booming manufacturing will create appreciation to the currency that's better for everyone using it. The tariffs will ensure that investment doesn't flee to other nations for cheaper labor markets as it rises.

Scream for me jew boi

WE HAVE TO GO BACK

This. They are demoralised.

The tariffs aren't big enough to force them to do that.

It was before its time

Retro toasters were unironically superior. Come home, white man.

My Chinese toaster stopped working after 10 pieces of toast

Remember when people said automation of everything was 2 weeks away and we'd all be working 3 day work weeks and shit? Then they realized they could just hire import and hire endless spics for cheaper. And then tech was only used to collect data for the NSA and advertisement corporations and make AI created memes.

AI will do the dishes and clean our houses while we create art!

It will comeback and the indian hordes will come with them.

I work in manufacturing, and I will make sure that the mandatory toasters cost as much as possible because fuck you.

You're not toaster maker material. I see you more as a pallet wrap station operator.

it unironically was but they genocided all germans in the usa

Why would they be 5x as expensive oh economics expert? Are tarrifs 500%?

$20 for a toaster from China that breaks 3 years after buying it.

Your grandparents' toaster from 1964 that still works that they paid $35 in 2025 money for that was made in the USA

Which one you picking?

A toaster factory can easily converted to produce land mines.

What happened now? Why is reddit and Anon Babble (basically the same websites at this point) going on about toasters?

WAAAH WAAAH WAAAH STOP MAKING LEGITIMATE CRITICISM

GOOD MORNING SAAAR

TIME FOR SHITS ON THE BC BEACH MR I.T. SAAAR

ALSO HELLO AGAIN DIRTY SUBHUMAN AFRO NIGGER INVADER BEHIND DANE FLAG

Since people stopped watching the news they send people/bots out to repeat the exact same talking points from the media, they just flood the entire fucking internet with it. This is the solution to people not engaging with the state propaganda.

Plus what if the toaster never breaks?

its communism

This is true, I am a German (mutt). I'm also an unemployed automation engineer. There's a ton of corruption in every industry that stems from people being afraid of losing their jobs that probably shouldn't exist. There must be a necessity for automation ("nationalism", war, depopulation, or a bit of each could be the only way)

What's wrong with toasters? Niggas gotta make toast, they need toasters. We should make toasters to last, instead of buying shitty chinese ones that break right away.
Now that's a fuckin' toaster, I bet if you have one of these in a shed somewhere it'd still work today.

The $20 chinaman toaster because i don't want to leave my grandpas without a toaster

i have a number of GE products from decades ago that still work fine

Because American quality has a gorillion percent profit margin haven’t you heard?? The Chinese children just didn’t put enough elbow grease into it.

nah, it's a real dane. he's just seething cause his country is gonna have to stop leeching off america

which will still provide jobs as
1. you need people to build the facilities
2. you need people to service the facility
3. you need people to ship the products from that facility.
People keep dropping this argument like a truth bomb but don't actually think it through.

Over a third of the workforce is currently sitting in front of a screen fucking with some form of excel and emailing other people doing the same. These are the jobs that are about to be destroyed by AI. Farming, building and manufacturing have been made easier with machines and robotics but they will always require heaps of hands on labour. Trump knows this and its why he is bringing some of it back to USA

that would be even more retarded so you're probably right

here's a secret: you can buy high quality products right now, you don't need tariffs to do that.
Tariffs are just there to limit your freedom of choice to make you incentive local products even if they're worse quality.
