They just have numbers, or "tokens" mapped to words or parts of words (ie, -ing might be a token and "fuck" might be a token, so "fucking" can be 2 tokens). I think image gen is pretty amazing right now and don't have many complaints. A lot of AI image and video does seem to be overly saturated and contrasted but that's not a huge deal. Video still has issues but is pretty impressive. In terms of LLMs they can output a lot of text that's well represented in training data but they do not reason well. That's why Claude can't beat pokemon for example. The test to me is whether a model can replace a worker. You can replace visual artists with a smaller amount of designers using image gen, or a contractor becomes unecessary when someone can just use image gen on their own. Or an LLM can do copywriting or make a basic app, but there will likely be more issues with the latter

Well, I would start by reading official documentation (Google/IBM/etc.) about each of those topics, because it is concise and the definitions are great. Prompt hacking: generally useless/goyslop, unless you're trying to make an injection attack (useless as well, there are lots of models without restrictions out there). Larger contexts are fucking amazing, soon we'll have MCPs that actually work even in enterprise level projects.

If you properly feed a RAG system with civil/commercial/criminal laws and relevant case laws, you can basically get the equivalent of a good lawyer almost for free (sub 5$ for millions of words). But I guess you'd rather pay 500$ an hour for a shitty human lawyer.

I'm familiar actually and I admit its terrifying. And I've been playing with AI, training and tuning models and standing up Llama to do some generate some custom text output. It's a bad-ass tool but it has limits.

When its on the fly doing 100 web searches in a few seconds, quickly coding an applet to perform a function and then doing what would take a secretary most of the afternoon in a minute, take a step back and realize where that information came from. It's pulling in information that a human wrote and put onto a website. It's not generating anything new. This is where people are getting irrational with it. It will be more important than ever for smart people to create new things to train the robots. Big companies aren't seeing this yet and we're in for a slump because of it.

not perfect, but the multi-image input models work better. one big problem is the best artists dont need mid art tools and dont invest themselves into ai-augmented workflows. im certain however that your perfect tool can be made and has value.
