Production industry is a job that basically anyone can do (hence why chinese peasants do it) you don't even need a highschool diploma, and it pays well.
One of the few remaining in America has been the coal industry, granted it's extremely hard work but it's one of the few jobs that can afford a house in the long run and it pays 6 figures a year but you can be a dropout and do it.
