If it becomes obvious that the general public including the president's own party have gained an extreme dissatisfaction with their choice, they could just remove him from office via the impeachment and conviction process. That has never been done before, usually because by the time it's obvious that a conviction would happen, the president has simply resigned in disgrace.

Nobody had any reason to believe he was going to do that. People only thought he'd be putting tariffs on China because China is a hostile power and has been deliberately undercutting American production for decades via state subsidies and slave labor, and maybe he'd also put tariffs on Mexican and Canadian cars, because those things are reasonable to do.

Yes this is true, he did not run on a complete global trade reset which would result in weeks to potential years of 401ks shitting the bed. However, it is understandable. What is most likely is that Trump is going to arrange for a bunch of European countries to send us tribute. Which would be a massive market stimulus and economic boost for us. And by the midterms, the market will be at all time highs. By the end of his four year tenure, the market will be retard levels high, and The debate will be if we can rush out automation or if we need to get more jeets.
