It's easy to just not shovel food in your face like a fatass. As I mentioned earlier, even with the terrible eating habits Americans have, additives and muh chemicals aside, we still have a life expectancy about 6 years shorter than the country with the longest life expectancy in the world.

Butyric acid is a major component in stomach acid so a bunch of clickbait articles run with "Hersheys contains chemical that gives puke its flavor" and people run with it.
It also occurs in a lot of other unpleasant places like body odor and rancid butter. But realistically at the levels present in crappy chocolate, it's what's responsible for that bitter aftertaste that won't go away a minute after eating the stuff.

People running with the puke meme are generally just people who don't read past headlines.

How does one go about extracting butyric acid from cheap chocolate? I'm sure the Hersheys chocolate company would love to know.
