What you're talking about is theoretical disarmament in the sense that there's a legal framework your federal government will use to ruin you. Your government already has this though and uses it on anyone they have a problem with in which case the Second Amendment is just a mirage and is made to disappear. The current system you have is just a less aggressive version of the Canadian system with government banning certain types of firearms of which the Second Amendment never provides protection. A lot of Americans get hung up on the Second Amendment when its actually not all that useful. Something like Castle Doctrine offered as a State right is much more powerful and useful.

The Second Amendment isn't well protected and can be denied from you fairly easily by just finding some way of making you a felon on a seemingly minor crime. It's not a very good protection when your government can just say "oh yeah, that type of gun with whatever random feature we say is no longer allowed for purchase".
