I guess that Russia would sell lots of oil and a minimal amount of weapons to both. Their own production rates are abysmal, Russia is missing 100+ Pantsirs for sufficient self-defence, as an example. They have to smuggle in American FGPA's for their S-400 missile systems. However they have some decent political leverage with the USA, which could lead to sanctions relief and a technological comeback for Russia.

I’m not. China doesn’t have any military experience beyond peacekeeping operations since the 70s when they invaded Vietnam in support of Cambodia and got their asses handed to them by irregulars. India might not beat China outright but China has zero shot in forcing India out of Pakistan if they choose to invade. Best they could do is beef up their own border with India and send a fuckload of material support to Pakistan to make the invasion as painful as possible with India. China does not want a shooting war.

The US isn’t at issue. It’s India. If they invade Pakistan China is in the same spot as it was in the 1970s when Vietnam invaded Cambodia. China could invade to force the Vietnamese out, provide material support for Cambodia or do nothing. They did the first and it became an embarrassment despite China having all the material advantages on paper. I doubt Xi wants to repeat this blunder when his economy is on the brink of crisis with an ongoing trade war with the US. Their best option is to throw material into the country via proxies in Afghanistan and make it painful for India to fight.
