Fox News talks non-stop about how great Trump is doing on illegal immigration when he's only deporting a few dozen people a day and some of those people are actually here legally and have merely said something critical about Israel. Instead of being reasonable and pointing out that all person's in the United States have a right to due process, Fox News celebrates legal residents being deported, and cite the same MS-13 gang member as an example.
Now if you're someone reasonable and you're trying to talk to someone who gets their news from one of these media outlets like Fox News, it can turn hostile quickly. Unfortunately media shapes the way a lot of people think. This makes it very difficult to talk to others about real issues and so everyone puts on a friendly facade and talks about the weather instead.
