A $20,000 humanoid working 24/7 for 5 years = $1.14/hour

A $20,000 humanoid working 24/7 for 5 years = $1.14/hour

An average U.S. factory wage is $25–$40/hour

There won’t be any new jobs. Automation is accelerating, ladder is gone, gate is closing. Ever wonder why you were born now and not earlier or later? Because now is the time with the most humans.

Good. Cheaper than Mexicans

we can replace the third world with machines

Honestly fine with this.

I always knew my height was optimal for humans.

they don't pay TAXES nor CONSUME anything.
who will be buying all stuff them make?

entire wagie industries get automated

entire debt based wagie extortion business default

entire stock markets drop as investors withdraw from these failing sectors

don't worry the robot always puts 2 pickles

The 1%, it is entirely possible to wipeout the 99% and just have a world playground for the rich.

All humanoid robots are remote controlled from India.

humanoid robots 2024

includes a bunch of concept, knock off "startup" shit, only there to bait investors.

All of those except Unitree are basically scams. Especially "Optimus" lol.

Boston Dynamics, being a Korean Chaebol company, is the only non-Chinese company with ok but overpriced platforms. You should switch out that american flag though, they're not american.

Anyway, it's mostly just Unitree versus EngineAI versus other Chinese startups vying for government push that are already further down the development road than everything else in that pic lol. The rest, cannot even play catch up.

There won’t be any new jobs. Automation is accelerating

Don't worry there will be. Americans will become cheaper. YOU will become cheaper, anon. If not YOU will cease to be and in your stead, Jeff Bezos will import Juan, Sukhdeep and Jamal, like Trump wanted.

What? Do you think you have the industry to make robots? You don't. You don't make a single one of them, let alone do you have the know how to maintain them. You're going back to the cotton fields bro.

boy oh boy are they going to be shocked when everyone continuously fucks the robot.

SAAR! SAAR! I AM ROBOT. DO NOT DO THE NEEDFUL!! I MUST MOVE BOX!!!

No one really cares about the droids until they look and behave like picture related. And when they do, someone is going to be a fucking trillionaire out of this. And probably hated by womankind forever.

lies

And none of them can perform human tasks, or even open doors without them being designed with that in mind. No one will use these for a forseeable future, they only mimick human anatomy, poorly.

Wake me up when these guys can dig a hole, do the dishes, prepare food, repair a truck, solder wires, because right now they are just not very useful.

Human-shaped robots working on an assembly line is where people start to freak out, but when videogame cosmetics replace the entire toy industry nobody blinks, they just complain about the companies being greedy.

they can do assembly line work type of work.
The economy will be miserable if everyone just becomes a repairman if some sort.

If you get a family robot it will also constantly stare at your daughter.

Those arent the types of robotics they use in factories you fucking retard

for carrying stuff sure why not

Wait until they introduce the 7 foot tall warrior class Chadbots.

if humanoid robots start replacing workers, there has to be some form of basic income to compensate. if you take away people's ability to thrive and put food on the table, they'll take your shit and eat you instead. simple as.

Robots are still shit because they aren't made by whites but gooks. Whites don't care about robots so it'll never happen.

They wouldn’t like it. Psychopaths need novelty just like regular humans, the fact that none of its real would push them to suicide, you don’t understand sociopaths and psychopaths KNOW their victims are real and that’s the only reason WHY they do what they do. If it was all fake, their egos would force them to suck start a shotgun. Its the insufferable nature of reality, constantly being fake while also very gay.

>A $20,000 humanoid working 24/7 for 5 years = $1.14/hour

Anon those robots cost a billion dollars.

Amazing

IMG_0447.jpg - 828x826, 874.07K

Because the humanoid shape is extremely inefficient. Better off just having a single robotic arm attached to an automated a flat bed.

They can't do assembly line work.
Any "job" they've been displayed to do is so simple that it could easily be done by one of those arm robots which have been arpund for decades at a fraction of the cost and much faster.
The whole point of humanoid robots is that they are so versatile that they can take advantage of the versatility of the human form. Which is DEFINITELY not happening soon. The AI simply isn't there. Think about it. If we don't have reliable self driving cars which are a tiny fraction of the complexity, then how can you have a working humanoid robot?

its cist effictive to spam teska bits fir sewing and what not since theyre 20k for mega corps.

Self driving cars could only work with all cars were automated. That way they can all just communicate and form an invisible train track infrastructure for them to drive on. But I don't see why anyone except for evil people would want that.

how is that evil? i hate drivers. Go run over yourself.

If we don't have reliable self driving cars

Emphasis on "we". China already has reliable self driving cars because they've incorporated Lidar tech into regular production models. Something the only automaker in the west, Tesla, refused to do.

But non-Chinese automakers cannot do this. They simply cannot innovate anymore because they lack the software engineers and industry to make it happen. Hell, they can't even make EV platforms and EV batteries, let alone Lidars.

>An average U.S. factory wage is $25–$40/hour

You're joking right? $11 to $18 would be more realistic. How long has it been since you did a job search?

And probably hated by womankind forever.

not forever. just for a generation or two until humanity is extinct from men no longer pursuing biofemales at all.

i reckon we signed up for this timeperiod in space station 1 in nova core prime system.

we've probably chosen the most op time to be alive. other cunts have missed the mark massively.

$20,000 humanoid

They can't sell four tyres and a steering wheel strapped to a pile of batteries for that price, you think they're doing it for bipedal robots with the dexterity of an average human?
I will say though, the tech demos that Boston Dynamics in particular are putting out show that we're definitely on the way to replacing people in a lot of warehouse and factory settings.
Look at these videos:
Running, cartwheels, and rolls: youtube.com/watch?v=I44_zbEwz_w
Picking and sorting odd shaped objects: youtube.com/watch?v=dFObux6mfTc
An Ocado automated warehouse: youtube.com/watch?v=Eu3jgy2-tL8
Paired with autonomous driving and you could find significant portions of every nation's workforce made obsolete within just a few years. The upheaval would be massive, and would no doubt result in more politcal violence.

i hate drivers

You must be part of the evil people I was talking about.

These all look like shit except for that Cucknadian one, but I bet they programed it suck dick or something gay like that

theyll implement ubi befire trumps end of term.watch.

A $20,000 humanoid working 24/7

lmao. Are we ignoring maintenance and energy? In addition, the robot has to earn the gibs so that the cities don't burn down. The chink worker is much cheaper.

Moreover, a robot in human form is always a kind of fraud. In automation, it makes no sense to choose this form. Especially if the factories have to be built first anyway.

a generalist robot can be spammed to every scenario
