The issue lies then with the wages stagnating and immigrants come in keeping the wages low, whilst the actual elite benefit from this system, because they don't pay any tax and use the middle class to pay their due. In the end this cycle just leads to a recession, because people start checking out and you have a massive brain drain which is why we are having.
Why on Earth would anyone be a doctor here when you can get a visa literally anywhere in the developed world and earn double the amount.
You can absolutely tax the ultra rich, the small percentage they get taxed on would make no effect in their great scheme of things. A little less disposable income for the benefit of the others around them would certainly work.
The issue is people have been indoctrinated into thinking taxing the ultra rich is very bad, when in reality they would never even notice it.
